I have been enjoying DIY and cooking, so I tired my creative hand at baking and decorating cutesie lingerie booty and boobie cookies for my sister-in-law's wedding.  I got the idea from my maid-of-honor in our wedding, who had someone bake identical fun cookies for my bachelorette party.   I remembered that the cookies where basic sugar cookies that were cut using an heart shaped cookie cutter.  For the breasts', you simply decorate the cookie upside down and for the booty, I cut of the bottom portion of the heart, and again decorated upside down. I was impressed with how they turned out!  I even made some nude cookies for the groom and his bachelor party.  It was fun to be creative and share the goodies with the wedding party.

Baking was the easy part!  It's hard to design panties & bras!!

DIY Headband from Blouse

My cousin & I have enjoyed the pastime of playing in Tutu's (my grandma) closet.  Even as adults, we find ourselves playing dress-up in previous era clothing, and having a blast!  We usually end up finding some articles of clothing that we really like, which Tutu encourages us to take for ourselves.  I recently found a padded shoulder, nylon blouse with vibrant blue splattered on the black & white pattern.  The design of the shirt was clearly outdated, but the fabric was very modern.  I wanted it!  After I got it home, I decided to turn it into a tank top.  While cutting off the sleeves, I realized that I could make a headband.  It turned out that I liked the headband much better the tank top and is definitely something I will wear.  Playing dress up is fun, but creating my own little accessories from Tutu's collection is even better!

Reflective Easter

My Father-in-Law's birthday is today.  He wasn't able to celebrate here with us this year, as he had anticipated.  He was excited that his birthday fell on Easter Day this year.  The only other time his birthday landed on Easter, was on his first birthday in 1957.  It still feels unreal that he is not walking the Earth with us, but we know he watches over us, and is forever a piece of who we are.  Happy Easter and Happy Birthday Mr. Hemingway!
