It’s been a while since we spent a weekend
in San Diego with our friends Gabe & Vanessa.Their son, Silas, was having a 3rd
birthday party, so we made a weekend of it and stayed with them.It was a lot of fun to see our friends and
celebrate with Silas.Gabe is a great
chef, but he had food catered; TriTip, chicken, pulled pork, Cole slaw, beans….a
proper BBQ with all the fixings!After
the party we gathered around the fire pit at Gabe & Vanessa’s house, enjoyed
cocktails and had good conversations
with them and some of their local friends.The evening didn’t seem like it could get any better – but then the live
music started!The moment we heard the
strum of the guitar and this amazing voice, all conversations stopped!We later found out that Gabe’s friend, Josh,
is a traveling musician who appeared on American Idol season 14.It was a great way to wrap up the night of
fun with friends!
